I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor – I, #494 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with Master degrees in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University and Theological Studies from the Episcopal Divinity School.  In 2016 I was certified as a Master Addictions Counselor by the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals. This credential reflects a commitment of the highest ethical standards for professionals in the field of addiction and recovery.  In 2012 I received the Lora Roe Memorial Addiction Counselor of the Year award by National Association for Addiction professionals (NAADAC). This award is presented to a counselor who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of addictions counseling. The Massachusetts affiliate of NAADAC awarded me with the Counselor of the Year award in 2011.

I am also an ecumenical catholic priest, rooted in the independent sacramental movement , with a passion for social justice.  In 2009 was ordained by Bishop David Dismas of St. Nicholas Ministries, Inc. and the Rev. Herman Hermalink in the International Council of Community Churches. On the Cape I am affiliated with the Ecumenical Catholic Diocese of New England by Bishop Jim David. My spiritual practice is also informed by Buddhism and in 2012 I took the Five Precepts in the Kwan Um School of Zen.
